Common web design questions
Why use WordPress over a custom site?
Websites designed and developed without using a CMS do have their perks. They’re often simpler and not weighed down with excess files, which can mean they perform better. They can also be more secure. But on the downside, they usually require more time and effort to build, which means they’re more expensive. Without a CMS, it can be difficult for clients to make changes on their own. And any solution you need would need to be developed manually, whereas WordPress has a huge library of plugins (tools) for just about any application or function you need on your site. We believe the pros of a CMS outweigh the potential cons.
Do you offer website maintenance or hosting?
Yes, we offer a few different ongoing packages for hosting, maintenance, and support as needed. All of these offerings are month-to-month, and they’re optional. If you want, we can hand the website over to you post-launch for you to manage.
Do you ever work with Squarespace or Wix?
In certain scenarios, we will design a site on a platform like Squarespace or Wix. We also have some experience with Webflow. It will just depend on your needs and plan for ongoing support.
Do you handle messaging and website copy?
Yes! We pride ourselves on understanding your business well and helping you better connect with your audience. We start with a kickoff meeting where we dive into strategy, messaging, and your audience. That said, if you already have sound messaging or want to write all your own copy, that’s fine, too.
Do you only work with businesses in New Orleans?
Not at all! We love our city and surrounding area – and love working with local clients – but we also design and develop sites for clients all across the US (and have a couple clients in Europe as well). If you’re outside of Southern Louisiana, we’ll plan to have our meetings virtually.
